Jenna Bauer has shared the joy of art-making with children for over 20 years in a variety of settings from elementary school classrooms and museums to city parks.  Her students have ranged in age from 2 to 92.  She is an inspired educator who considers her work as a teaching-artist as part of her studio practice, which includes painting, printmaking, drawing, ceramics; creating and implementing custom-made progressive arts-curricula, also developing not-for-profit organizations such as SCOSAG: The South City Open Studio and Gallery (renamed Artscope); and Colorbridge Art.  Bauer is an accomplished upright bass player and jazz singer.  Her personal visual artwork focuses on investigations of color, mark making, gesture and landscape with the aim to create moments of respite for the viewer.
